Bill must have made God very angry because during the fourth week Bill was crying again. He explained that Ann had a relapse and was back in the hospital. This time she called Bill to tell him goodbye because she was dying. He was beside himself with grief.

I was quite angry with Bill, “You see? You would not do what I told you to do so now look what has happened. Bill, you gotta know that the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away! Come on. Let’s go find Rufus.” I found Rufus in the TV room and brought him out. Bill and I explained what had happened, and I said we needed to pray for Ann again. Rufus brought along another Christian friend of his to pray with us. My cellies were in the Rec Yard, so we met in my cubicle. We placed Bill in the center and the three of us joined hands around him. I don’t remember what the others prayed (I’m hard of hearing), but I distinctly remember asking the Holy Spirit to give Bill a second chance to go to church and to thank God for saving Ann. I think we gave the Spirit praise and glory in advance for His help in our time of need and for healing Ann. I told Bill that this time he had better go to church or God would let her die!

The next Sunday Bill was in church. Ann’s liver and kidney began to function again. The doctors were astounded that another miracle had taken place for a second time! The doctors sent her home again. Bill went to church every Sunday until his release a short time later. He promised that he would stay in touch with updates about Ann, but he didn’t. Rufus was the next to be released and a couple of months later it was my turn. Bill gave me his number before he left and I was going to call him when I got home, but I kept putting it off. To be honest, I was afraid to call. I didn’t want to receive bad news of Ann’s passing. Then I felt the Spirit say to me, “Oh ye of little faith.” Immediately I called Bill.

After the usual small talk I popped the question, “How’s Ann doin’?”

“She’s doing great,” replied Bill. “She’s been taken off the need-a-kidney list, and she’s gained twenty pounds. She quit drinking, too! I’ll tell her you asked about her.”

“Cool, are you still going to church?” “Every Sunday!” was his quick reply.

“Wow! Praise God from whom all blessings flow,” I said.

“Amen!” was Bill’s hearty, if not heartfelt, reply.

MIRACLE FROM PRISON

By

Me: God, can I ask You a question?

God: Sure

Me: Promise You won't get mad

God: I promise

Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do u mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late

God: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start

God: Okay

Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait

God: Huummm

Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call

God: All right

Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!!

Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you

sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't

afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call,

I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot messager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think

you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I'm Sorry God

God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.

Me: I will trust You.

God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...
